Lexicolor

Two players, one phone, ninety seconds.

Lexicolor on a tablet: the screen split into a red half and a blue half facing opposite ways, letter discs on each side and a shared row of letters between them.

Play face to face

Two people sitting across a table with a phone between them, coffee and biscuits beside it, both reaching for the screen.

Put the phone on the table between you. The screen splits in two, each half the right way up for the player looking at it. You both get the same twelve letters, and you both play at once — no turns, no waiting.

Make words Tap letters to build a word, then press ✓. Every word you play colours its letters a little more in your colour.
Fight for the letters Your opponent has the same twelve letters and is colouring them too. Fill one completely and you start taking it back off them.
Beat the clock After ninety seconds you score a point for every letter you coloured more than your opponent. Most points wins.
